Evolution of the Eurofighter Operational Requirements
Lee Straw spent a career at British Aerospace between the customer and the designers. During that time he saw the evolution of the Eurofighter. In this talk he goes back before he joined BAe and starts with AST396, a Harrier/Jaguar replacement project, which ultimately became Typhoon. A fascinating section is the "S" curve, which explains why the Typhoon is (in BAe's opinion) in the sweet spot of performance and cost. It persuaded Margaret Thatcher.
