Alstom Class 390 Pendolino through the years | On the mainline
This video is pictures of the Alstom Class 390 Pendolino through the years… The Alstom Class 390 Pendolino is a high speed 11 car EMU ordered by Virgin trains in 2002 equipped with a tilting mechanism so it can keep and sustain optimal speed around corners (hence it being called the pendolino), operated on the Great British West Coast Mainline (GBWCML), more commonly known as the West Coast Mainline (WCML) The name “Pendolino” is derived from the Italian word “pendolo” meaning pendulum and -ino, a diminutive suffix… Throughout the years it has been oprated by Virgin and Avanti West Coast whom at this current period of time are still operating them… When editing this the Virgin ones gave me a sense of nostalgia, it might give you that sense too !! Hope you enjoy 😀👍
