This is an auto camping site established in a fishing village in Namhae-gun. Overgrown with weeds, there are no signs of use. The doors to the kitchen and shower rooms are firmly closed. The hemp drying and forest experience center, created by renovating a closed school, have also closed. It is also very disappointing that tax revenue is not being managed properly..."] These facilities were created as part of the 'Fishing Village New Deal' project, which received an investment of 6.6 billion won, but they are not profitable, resulting in a shortage of manpower to manage them. Billions of won in budget were spent on something that was clearly foreseeable. [Village Resident: "We cannot manage it because there is no one to manage it. It is a loss whether we operate it or not. It is a tricky situation. It is also small..."] A port village in Goseong-gun. Container buildings stand idly by. Although it was established last year as a food market, out of the eight buildings, only a single coffee shop is currently in operation. The rest are all completely empty. Village residents are venting their frustration, claiming that proper shade and tables were not even provided without consulting their opinions. This is it."] The cooperative that took over the facilities is currently committing illegal acts, such as destroying sidewalk blocks, to build shade canopies in order to lease them to merchants. [Cooperative Official/Voice altered: "There are inconveniences for business owners trying to move in. We asked for shade, but it was already set up (during construction by the Fisheries and Marine Resources Corporation). There was nothing more we could do."] A glamping site established in another village in Goseong is also not operating. This time, the problem lies in the administrative procedures. It is taking more than half a year to transfer ownership to a village cooperative. Among the 57 villages in Gyeongnam designated for the 'Fishing Village New Deal 300,' a total of 26 have launched resident income projects. Of these, half are uncharacteristic establishments such as cafes or campsites, and since residents lack both education and experience, few are operating them properly after simply taking over the facilities.
