Interstate 287 NY NJ POV

This video contains the full length of I-287 of New Jersey and New York, northbound then southbound. The video is shot by head mounted camera in 4K at an aspect ratio that includes greater vertical field of vision. Interstate 287 forms an outer ring road/bypass for the NYC area. Interstate 287 includes a concurrency with New York Thruway (I-87), and is named Cross Westchester Expressway, and Governor Thomas E. Dewey Thruway on various portions. The northbound video begins at dusk and the majority is shot in daylight, turning to night for the last 15 minutes of northbound. The southbound video begins at dawn at the 1:45:45 mark, and does not turn to daylight until 50 minutes after at around 2:35:00. Note: At 2:43:00 after I was hit by the car's roof snow, I made a tactical error. While I caught up to it, I did not get close enough to read the license plate and I did not want to tailgate due to safety concerns. The correct maneuver to do in this case is to take the adjacent lane so you can pull up right beside it and read its license plate from there.
