15 ABANDONED Olympic Venues

Every 4 years, the Olympic Games are, by far, the most watched and followed sporting event on the planet. They give athletes from every nation the chance to compete against one another to show who's best in the world… and put a focus on the host country, which has the potential to bring massive economic and cultural benefits if it's done right. Putting on a games is hugely expensive, though, often reaching tens of billions of dollars, and a lot of this is down to the need to build the specialized venues for each sport. It's time, then, to look at some of the sites that have been forgotten about as we explore 15 abandoned Olympic venues. #ABANDONED #olympic #olympics Several segments are licensed under creative commons https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...
