Want to live in Mexico City? - A city with amazing quality of life! BUT, there are some downsides.
#mexico #traveltomexico #movingtomexico #expats Hey Guys! If you've seen my Mazatlan video, then you know I have decided to move to Mexico City. I mentioned I would put a video together on why I chose Mexico City over many other cities. I've released Part 1 already but there are so many positive factors to consider, that I want anyone looking to live in Mexico City to know the full deal! That's why I've created Part 2. I've added timestamps below as it is a longer video. Having said how amazing Mexico City is for expats looking to live there, there are definitely some downsides you should consider. I cover those in this video as well! Every city has them and Mexico City is no exception! Timestamps if you wanna skip to a section: 1:23 Mexican Food (including vegan food) 4:45 Bread & Pastries (learn about Mexico's Pastry War) 7:31 The Wine 8:15 Entertainment 10:00 Indoor Spaces 11:15 Quirky & Surreal Personality 11:52 Super Dog (and Pet) Friendly 13:10 Beautiful Street Art 13:39 The Mexican People 14:39 Very Clean Streets & Bathrooms 15:37 Tolerance & Inclusivity (LGBTQ) 16:27 The Downsides **** If you are looking to visit Mexico City and you've never been, this video will be helpful to you as well. It will show you around the city, what you can expect and the various activities you should consider adding to your itinerary. **** However, even if there are downsides, I can tell you I've lived in some of the most popular global cities (LA, NYC, San Francisco, London, Barcelona and Hamburg) and I truly feel that very few other cities, including those I just mentioned, offer so many factors "combined" that create an amazing quality of life for HALF of what you'd spend in some of these other cities. Mexico City has so much to offer! I've made peace with all of the downsides, except the rental market and rental rules. :( We will see how that goes once I move this Summer 2021. I will be posting about my experience once I move. I do have a couple of friends (Mexican nationals) who live in the city and I will be asking them to help me navigate this issue. I'll share everything I learn with you! Thanks for taking the time to visit my channel! STW
