The archaeological site of the Roman city of Carsulae (San Gemini-Terni) has been the subject of significant excavations in recent years, picking up where Umberto Ciotti's excavations concluded (1950s-1970s). In 2024, excavations are underway in the forum area at two sites: a public building and the nymphaeum of a large domus, also likely serving public purposes. The same building had revealed splendid mosaic floors in previous campaigns.
