2027 Chevy Bolt EV RS First Impressions | Affordable But Underwhelming?

In this video I drive the 2027 Chevy Bolt RS EV at the 2026 MAMA Spring Rally. The Bolt EV is back after a 3 year hiatus with updated battery technology, charging, interior, and exterior design but it will only be available for a limited time. The Bolt EV is currently the most affordable EV offered in the US given some of the competition has cancelled or postponed their entry offerings. The Bolt EV competes somewhat within GM's own lineup with the Equinox EV starting at the same price as the more equipped Bolt models and also competes with the recently released Toyota C-HR and Subaru Uncharted. Even with the updates, the Bolt feels cheaper on the interior and less refined compared to the C-HR I drove to this event.
