DEFINITIVE DEF LEPPARD: POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME - How is it really played?

Part 10 and the final episode of my mini-series: Definitive Def Leppard!! Today we're looking at the one and only Pour Some Sugar On Me. The big thing to think about when playing the main riff is the percussive rests or ghost notes between the different sections of the phrase and the cadence of the notes. Big wide vibrato helps add dimension to the riff. Without these, the riff sounds flat and dry. Put some feeling into it. Having spent a number of years some time ago in a Def Leppard tribute band in the role of Phil Collen, I struggled to find any detail on some of Phil's live playing when I first started learning the material. In this series, I'll be going through some of my favourite Def Leppard songs (especially ones from the Live in the Round tour which our show was based on) and running through what I believe to be Phil's main parts. I haven't played these songs for a good few years since so cut me some slack ;-) #defleppard #hysteria #PourSomeSugarOnMe
