A suspect on the wanted list for motorcycle theft in dozens of areas was arrested by officers from the Ngawi Police Criminal Investigation Unit at a bus agency on Jalan Raya Siliwangi, in front of the Krapyak Main Substation, Semarang District, Central Java, on Friday, April 26th. Officers were forced to shoot the suspect in the leg after he resisted and attempted to flee when asked to show evidence of the motorcycle stolen in Ngawi. Officers immediately took the suspect to Widodo Hospital in Ngawi for medical treatment. The suspect is identified as P, 45, from Dadapan Village, Ngronggot District, Ngajuk Regency. The perpetrator was arrested after stealing a motorcycle belonging to Safrudin, 75, the owner of a stall in front of At Tin Husada Hospital, in Watualang Village, Ngawi District, Ngawi Regency, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The perpetrator, who pretended to be resting, stole the motorcycle while the victim was unguarded. The perpetrator admitted to officers that the stolen motorcycle had been sold to a fence in Surabaya for one million five hundred thousand rupiah. He usually steals motorcycles with his wife.
