Por qué el embarazo y la maternidad están idealizados I Del Divorcio Se Sale #26

Welcome to a new episode of You Can Get Through Divorce! Today we're joined by Macarena Montenegro, an Argentinian psychologist and Gestalt therapist based in Andorra, and founder of the Migrating Motherhood community. In a very honest and unfiltered conversation, Macarena dismantles the extreme romanticization of pregnancy and parenting, addressing the "heavy" side that no one talks about: the loneliness, extreme exhaustion, and loss of identity that many women experience when they become mothers. We delve into the enormous challenge of raising your children far from your home country and your family support network (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.), which multiplies the mental load and sometimes makes screens the only respite. We also analyze how the arrival of a child completely transforms a couple's relationship (and their sexuality), the key role men must play to truly take over, and the importance of new mothers ceasing to put too much pressure on themselves and learning to ask for help. 📚 NEW RELEASE! My book, "You Can Get Through Divorce," is now available. A very personal project in which I draw on more than 20 years of experience supporting people through their breakups, discussing rights, but also fears, guilt, and how to start over. You can get it in bookstores or through the link below!
