Week In The Life | Black Trans Cookout | Brooklyn + Queens New York
This week’s vlog is filled with purpose, joy, and community. I had the honor of attending the Black Trans Cookout in Queens, New York, hosted by @therealgialove , @raquel_willis.l , and @qween_gene —three incredible Black trans activists who continue to create safe and empowering spaces for our community. The event celebrated what would have been Marsha P. Johnson’s 80th birthday, honoring her legacy and the work she’s done for LGBTQ+ rights and liberation. Huge love to the Angelito Collective for their partnership in making this celebration possible. The Black Trans Cookout was a reminder of the power of gathering together as Black trans women and allies to celebrate life, joy, and resilience. It was a day full of laughter, connection, and cultural pride. Outside of the cookout, this vlog also captures the ups and downs of my work week, time spent reflecting and connecting with new people, and ending the week strong with one of my best friends of over 10 years. We wrapped things up at the beautiful Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn, which was the perfect backdrop to reflect on friendship, growth, and gratitude. This vlog is a true mix of celebration, culture, and everyday life in New York City—from activism and community to balance and personal joy. If you’re here for Black trans stories, NYC vlogs, LGBTQ+ events, and weekly lifestyle content, you’re in the right place. ✨ Don’t forget to subscribe, comment, and share this vlog if you want to support my journey as a Black trans content creator.
