Railway Children Flash Mob - spreading a little happiness to commuters

London Bridge station burst into song as commuters were entertained by a flash mob choir lifting the spirits of passers-by with a moving rendition of Lean on Me. Organised by Southeastern, and with support from across the rail industry, the event was planned to raise awareness for Railway Children, the charity fighting for children at risk on the streets and railways of the UK, India and East Africa. Spreading a little happiness and Christmas cheer, the choir were trained by well-known choirmaster James Hawkins, the man behind the Missing People choir that enjoyed charity success last year. Yesterday’s group, made up of station staff and rail employees among others, gave a rousing performance that was enjoyed by those on their way home from work as well as shared with several thousand more online. www.railwaychildren.org.uk
