A writer for ‘Slate’ is highlighting what some consider to be the most controversial hotline in America: a hotline for men who are abusive or considering abusing their partners. A Call for Change is one of the only hotlines in the U.S. that provides support for men who are ideating abuse, or have already assaulted someone and want to stop, which is a marked departure from the intervention programs favoured by the court system for perpetrators of domestic violence.
