Trincomalee Express Train No.7081 with M8 847 Locomotive in Sri Lanka Railways

In this video, we see the No.7081 Colombo Fort - Trincomalee Express Train run by a Class M8 locomotive with ICF compartments, arriving and departing Maradana Railway Station. This train provides Air-Condition First Class (AFC) seating which must be reserved in advance, as well as Second Class (SC) and Third Class (TC) seating for normal tickets. The train service was started after the No.7077 "Yal Devi" Express which used to run to Trincomalee during the Northern Line repairs between Maho Junction and Anuradhapura, resumed operations as No.4077 to Kankesanthurai after the repairs are almost completed. However, as of March 2025, this train service has been canceled.
