CN C44-9W Trails On MCHAL!

UP 5911 & CN 2617 lead the UP MCHAL west, on the UP Adams Subdivision. This was filmed on West Shore Road, just west of North Lake, WI. I was north of here, and I had caught an eastbound earlier in the day on this line. To my absolute suprise, I heard that the daily westbound was leaving the yard east of here. This line runs 2 daily trains, and maybe an extra coal train or occasional ethanol train every now and then. So I was quite happy to get another train. I went to one of my favorite spots on this line and setup. I had the scanner listening for anything on this line, and I wasn't expecting anything. I was surprised to hear the defect detector go off because last I knew, all the detectors on this line only broadcasted on defect only. It seems like in the last few weeks, they have changed them to broadcast again for and entrance and exit, which is helpful to me. It was only 15 minutes before the train showed up. I had no idea what the power would be, and I was met with a rebuilt UP AC44CW leading, with a CN C44-9W trailing! The CN was a complete suprise, and it was even an original Dash 9! It was neat to see. I really, really liked how this shot turned out, and I was very happy to get 2 trains on this line in one day.
