Keeping in mind the mood this season for Lakmé Fashion Week 2016 Winter Festive —shimmer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s collection spanned across several decades starting from 1920’s Paris Salon to the 1970’s. The designer focused on Kashmiri tilla embroidery, revival Benarasi fabrics and adding faux fur accents with a whimsy. Kareena Kapoor Khan walked the runway for the designer. The two collaborated on the choice of colour for Kapoor Khan—a mossy green that matches her eyes. Deepika Padukone who is a fan of the designer’s work sat in the front row with Karisma Kapoor.
