Korean bluegrass band, Country GongBang | "Cowboy of the Steep Hill" | Father's Day Festival 2024

Hailing all the way from South Korea, Country GongBang graced us with a US tour last summer and stole the show at the 2024 Father's Day Bluegrass Festival here in Grass Valley, CA. We were glad they took a few moments between their several sets to swing by the lake to film a session with us. The next week, they flew off to Nashville to make their Grand Ole Opry Debut! About the Band: The band name, rendered in Korean as 컨트리공방, roughly translates to Country Studio Performance, or Country Study Show. It comes from a popular Korean phenomenon where students are filmed studying or doing homework, and has spread into music students practicing. The group consists of Yebin Kim on mandolin, Hyunho Jang on banjo, Jongsu Yoon on fiddle, Sunjae Won on guitar, Keeha Song on bass.
