Iberê Carvalho maintains an intense and regular artistic activity in Brazil and Europe, working as a chamber soloist and Guest violist. Regularly teaches at festivals and open masterclasses. He began his studies in João Pessoa with professors Magno Job and Samuel Espinoza. He obtained his bachelor's degree from UFMG under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Carlos Aleixo and was mentored in chamber music by professors Celina Szvrinsk and Miguel Rosselini. He is currently pursuing a master's degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Dastelle Kunst Frankfurt Main under the guidance of Prof. Ingrid Zur. He is a member and founder of the Antos piano and string quartet, director of the Paraíba Independent Chamber Music Festival, and performs as solo violist with the ORSO Orchestra in Berlin and Freiburg. He has won awards at several Brazilian festivals and competitions and has performed as a guest with important Brazilian professional orchestras. Since May, he has been the creator and presenter of the live interview series "Sounds, Notes and Identity," a program that aims to highlight Black artists in the concert music scene in Brazil and around the world. A member of the board and one of the founders of the Brazilian Ubuntu Collective, which has been carrying out actions aimed at racial equity within the Brazilian classical and opera music scene.
