I love this French Brioche so much that I ate an entire loaf of it the other night. Can you blame me? The bread is buttery, eggy, rich and delicious. Ingredients listed below. Ingredients for two 8x4-inch loaves: 3 1/8 teaspoons (1 1/2 envelopes) active dry yeast 1/2 cup warm (110°F) water 2 tablespoons sugar 2 sticks (1 cup/226 grams) unsalted butter, melted 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 4 large eggs, beaten 4 cups all-purpose ("plain") flour For brushing: 1 egg yolk beaten with 1-2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
