Baladi Rhythm | On Classic Egyptian Metal Darbuka | Rhythm Of The Week | Darbuka Planet
Welcome to Rhythm Of The Week. Todays rhythm is Baladi which is an Egyptian folk dance rhythm originated during the early 20th-century. The word Baladi means "of the country of Egypt". The Egyptian Beledi/baladi rhythm originated when the farmers who went to the city started dancing in cramped areas, which is how it all started and is still popular today. Our Egyptian Darbuka is made in the ancient city of Alexandria where tradition and innovation meet. These goblet drums reflect this meeting of two worlds, resulting in classic instruments that are made utilizing modern manufacturing techniques. In this category you will find multiple styles and a wide range of different sizes; everything from miniature drums to the famous Gawharet el Fan Egyptian Darbuka. Visit our website to view our excellent collection of fine instruments.
