Terremoto Ossa del Montiel Albacete

An earthquake of approximately 5.4 magnitude struck central Spain at around 5:16 p.m., according to the European and Mediterranean Seismic Centre. The National Geographic Institute reported on its Twitter account that the epicenter was in Ossa de Montiel (Albacete province), where the tremor was felt not only in the capital but also in municipalities such as Hellín, Almansa, La Roda, and Fuenteálamo. Firefighters in Albacete are responding to numerous calls from residents reporting a strong tremor, although none have been reported so far due to damage, according to fire department sources. The earthquake was also felt in Toledo, Madrid, Ciudad Real, Murcia, Valencia, Alicante, and Cuenca, as confirmed by witnesses in those provinces.
