Through this policy, the government aims to reduce or even eliminate diesel imports as part of its efforts to achieve energy self-sufficiency. Prabowo made this statement while attending the 17th National Farmers and Fishermen Week (PENAS) Summit in Gorontalo on Wednesday (June 24, 2026). "This July, in a few days, we will launch B50. We will process B50 diesel from 50 percent palm oil. This way, we will no longer import diesel from abroad," Prabowo said. B50 is a diesel fuel containing a 50 percent palm oil-based biodiesel blend. With this increased biodiesel content, the government aims to meet national diesel needs from domestic energy sources. "We will not import from abroad. For a maximum of four more years, our fuel needs will be met," he continued.
