Africalēnisi Travel Vlog | Flight to Barbados | The Caribbean Island | African Diaspora

Barbados and indeed all the Caribbean Islands, are considered as African Diasporas, where there is an unwavering connection between the Caribbean and the Africans. A lot of time has past, where the two inhabitants, have been divided up and made to either look down, despise and simply put, discard the connection that identifies both/all as Africans. Be it as it may, the tides are changing, slowly but surely, Africa although on balance, change would not come in our generation, one day, it's just a matter of time, Africans will eventually release themselves from colonial rule. Religion, has also been one of the tools which have systematically been used to separate Africans, from their cousins in the Caribbean. Once you visit the Island, it soon becomes clear why Barbados was the first port of call, for the British slave ships from Africa. It is situated in the most eastern side of the Caribbean Islands, and it is the first Island to reach or to see when travelling on a long voyage for 3 months at sea from the then Gold Coast. Meanwhile, Isn't it ironic that anyone wanting to travel to and from the Caribbean to Africa, is coerced to catch a connecting flight from the U.S., some are forced to fly all the way up to New York, to catch a direct flight to West Africa. Others have no option, but to connect in Europe, where you are likely to be disrespected by Customs, Security personnel, Immigration officers etc., before boarding your flight to the motherland. Alternatively would be to fly to Brazil, where there are flights flying directly to the African continent. What a palaver. Why can't our leaders make this happen. The sooner we all touch base with each other, and exchange notes, the better it would be for us and mother Africa in the future. The flight to Barbados was effortless if one discounts the COVID-19 rules and checks. Barbados is not playing, should you wish to travel to Barbados, we must stress that if you do not have all your COVID-19 check and certificates, and if you have not filled out the Passenger Locator Form online, chances are you shall not be permitted to travel. And this applies to all passengers. The trip was nice, the beaches were clean, the water was clear, and the weather certainly reminds you of Africa. Sunshine at all times, except when one discounts heavy rains and heavy winds Apart from the attractive Bajans you are destined to see, the Island is packed with great historical knowledge, which Africalēnisi intends to share some of it with you, so keep an eye out for that.
