このまま行っちゃえ!→“怖いもの見たさ”で踏み込んだ男性登山者が迎えた悲劇の結末…徳本峠遭難事故【地形図とアニメで解説】
Carelessness lurking in curiosity can be fatal... In August 2007, mountaineering writer A headed alone to Tokumoto Pass in Nagano. His goal was to report on a bridge that had collapsed in a typhoon. However, the route he took was a closed, forbidden path. Despite warnings, A's curiosity overcame his judgment, and he ventured onto the dilapidated path. Just as he reached the collapsed site, a rotten pillar collapsed, throwing him 5 meters into the valley below. His ankle was bent at an abnormal angle, and he was unable to walk. His mountaineering research trip suddenly turned into a life-or-death disaster. Please note that there are various theories about the background and details of the accident, and interpretations may differ depending on your perspective. Additionally, please note that some parts of this article have been edited and condensed to make it easier to understand. ▼ Lessons to Learn from This Video 🏔️ The more experienced you are, the more likely you are to fall prey to the illusion of minimizing danger. Mr. A's extensive experience led him to be swayed by the illusion that "I can handle this much" and "I'm the only one who'll be safe," leading him to disregard the road closure warning. 🏔️ A no-entry order is a "result of a risk assessment" and should not be broken based on personal judgment. Road closures are "life-saving measures" decided upon by government officials and experts after investigating the site. Experience and equipment cannot overturn them. 🏔️ Obsession with achieving one's goal (reporting or reaching the summit) clouds judgment. The completion bias of "I've come this far," "I might as well have come this far," completely robbed him of the calm decision to retreat. 🏔️Even the most thorough equipment cannot compensate for a "misjudgment." Rope, tent, taping, and plenty of food. Although his equipment was perfect, a single mistake in choosing the right path could have cost him his life. 🏔️Submitting a mountain climbing report is the "last resort" that can determine your fate. A chance encounter between a third party and a Ministry of the Environment official sped up the rescue, but the mountain climbing report would have been the only lifeline.
