A Christian Critique of Jordan Peterson

After reading all of Peterson's books, I wanted to discuss my reservations with his work. I find his political ethic fundamentally unchristian, his scholarship questionable, and his self-help advice boring. Enjoy my work? Buy me a coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/MorrisonSDM **Sorry the audio goes up and down. Still learning how to use this mic. Notes for this video: St. Basil quote: "When someone steals another's clothes, we call them a thief. Should we not give the same name to one who could clothe the naked and does not? The bread in your cupboard belongs to the hungry; the coat unused in your closet belongs to the one who needs it; the shoes rotting in your closet belong to the one who has no shoes; the money which you hoard up belongs to the poor." Re-individualism: I forgot to mention rule 6, "Set your house in perfect order before you criticize the world." But this reinforces my point that Peterson's work is highly individualistic. But we are obligated to be concerned with much more than just our house. A Christian political ethic centers around caring for our neighbors. This rule also justifies political apathy and denies anyone the chance to criticize injustice, ie, be a prophetic voice. Political apathy is unchristian. We are called to proclaim good news to the poor, liberty to the captives, etc. (see Luke 4).
