From there, we continue along Klarabergsgatan (Klara Hill Street), one of Stockholm’s busiest shopping streets. Along the way, we briefly pass S:ta Clara Kyrka (Saint Clara Church) – a Gothic-style church with roots in the 13th century. Our walk brings us to Sergels torg (Sergel’s Square) – the modern heart of Stockholm with its iconic glass obelisk and cultural life. We then follow Hamngatan (Port Street), a historic road lined with department stores and classic city architecture. Turning into Norrmalmstorg (Norrmalm’s Square), we visit a beautiful open square known both for shopping and as the origin of the term “Stockholm syndrome.” From there, we walk along the elegant Biblioteksgatan (Library Street), one of Stockholm’s most exclusive shopping streets. We arrive at Stureplan (Sture Square) – a well-known social and nightlife hub – and continue into Sturegatan (Sture Street), a quieter residential street with historic buildings. Finally, we reach Humlegården (The Hop Garden Park), a peaceful green space in Östermalm, perfect for ending a city walk.
