HCMT’s Take Over The Sunbury Line In August - Metro Tunnel Trial Operations
In this video we see Metro Trains do a second round of full day Metro Tunnel testing were HCMTs we’re running between East Pakenham, Cranbourne & Sunbury via the Metro Tunnel but passengers had to change trains at Caulfield & Footscray so trains could run empty through the Metro Tunnel. The trial operations was a little different this time as V/Line were running there new 40 minute frequency instead of the old 1 hour frequency & in the evening peak Metro ran some West Footscray service along with their normal Sunbury & Watergardens services.
