Siouxsie and the Banshees chose it because it was the only song off the album Robert Smith knew, and they recorded it for their 6th studio album, 1984’s “Hyæna.” Other than their live double album Nocturne, this was the only S&tB album composed and recorded with Robert Smith; like their two previous lead guitarists, he also had a nervous breakdown and left the band shortly before the album’s release. The video was filmed in Venice and features Smith’s sister on harpsichord.
