I set off alone on my trusty BMW F650GS Dakar motorcycle to travel the world. I didn’t know exactly where I’d go or how long it would take. Finally, after three years of traveling through thirty-five countries and five continents, I returned home to California. I wrote the book documenting that adventure in stories, photos, and recipes: FORKS: A QUEST FOR CULTURE, CUISINE, AND CONNECTION. Then came a one-year cross-country book tour in his legendary “FORKS Van,” then a television show on THE COOKING CHANNEL, inspirational speaking gigs, and much more.
