Specifically, this year, nearly 50% of candidates scored below 5 points in the Economics and Law subject; over 37% scored below 5 points in Mathematics; and 39% scored below 5 points in Physics… Compared to last year, the scores in Mathematics and Biology are better this year. The scores for the five main subject combinations A01, A01, B00, A00, C00, and D01 also showed some fluctuations this year. Both A00 and B00 had a higher number of high-scoring candidates compared to last year. Meanwhile, the remaining subject combinations were at or slightly lower than last year. According to Mr. Hai, only candidates with a total score of 15 points or more in the three subjects, as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training, are eligible for university admission. Candidates below this score can apply for lower-level programs. The Ministry of Education and Training also publishes percentiles for each subject combination; candidates can refer to this to get a comprehensive overview of the subject combinations. The period from now until July 14th is the most crucial time for candidates in the admission process.
