Custom prosthetic gives hockey player a shot at his dream
Josh Hampel was born without a left hand. That hasn't stopped him from becoming a rising star in the United States Premier Hockey League, playing defense for the Minnesota Moose. Our Prosthetics team worked with our Biomedical team to create a completely custom prosthetic device, allowing Josh to play as hard as he needs to at his level. Josh's goal is to play for a division one university in the US, but his ultimate dream is to become the first amputee to play in the NHL.
