Foreigner - Rev on the Red Line (Guitar Cover)

The Song: Rev on the Red Line written by Alan Greenwood and Lou Gramm from Foreigner’s third studio album Head Games released in September of 1979. Written in the key of Bm it’s one of my Foreigner fave’s and a classic. Lots of changes in this tune in the bridge and leading into the solo that were undoubtedly written by the keyboardist Al Greenwood. It has got multiple guitars on this track alternate picking constantly in the verses after the first but staying within the Bm. The Video: My methodology is recording all the guitar tracks in Pre Sonus-Studio One, editing. mixing and mastering in the tool, the shooting the video on my iPhone, exporting it to my desktop and into Davinci Resolve for editing and video sync. The Equipment: The equipment I used on this video was a Custom Shop 1960 RI Les Paul – Kindred Burst but it looks like the 70’s Tobacco which is what Mick plays even today. It is played through a Fractal Audio FXIII, again directly into Studio One.
