O What A Glad Day 5. I Want To Get Right 6. Let Me Live Close To Thee The Chestnut Grove Quartet originated back in the beautiful hills of Abingdon and Holston Virginia. Here they were brought up in a country church to worship and serve God. These Christian singers have received many blessings singing great songs of inspiration in gospel services. The Chestnut Grove Quartet sing each Sunday afternoon on Radio Station WBBI from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. They have been broadcasting for years and have developed tremendous audience. They are sponsored through the sale of their records, song books, and other contributions; these support their broadcasts and keep Gospel Songs ringing out. The Chestnut Grove Quartet consist of, James Nunley, Soprano; Ray Roe, Baritone; William Nunley, Tenor; and Gale Webb, Bass. They all take pride in their wonderful families and community life. This Quartet travels and sings in many of the Eastern states of the U.S.A. God has blessed them, and they have touched many souls through their singing. Their wonderful voices blend in rare combination. This quartet like everyone else has suffered heartaches, sorrows, and hardships. On September 25, 1962, they suffered the loss of their baritone singer, Archie Reynolds who was called to The Great Beyond. They continued their radio programs and engagements while they searched for the right baritone. But by the help of God the three lonely singers held together and kept striving onward. Fortunately they found a singer, Ray G. Roe, who was able to fill the position to complete The Chestnut Grove Quartet once again. The Pine Mountain Record Company, located in the heart of The Applachian Mountains, specialize in presenting the old time American Mountain Style talent. Proudly they present this wonderful album of the very touching and moving voices of The Chestnut Grove Quartet. Respectfully, Kae Norris PINE MOUNTAIN RECORD COMPANY P.O.
