Falling asleep right on the shore of the Pacific Ocean was a massive milestone for us, and there is nothing quite like the sound of those waves. Our trip took an unexpected and dramatic turn when we encountered a sea lion in distress on the beach. Luckily, wildlife officials arrived for an emergency rescue, and we got to witness these amazing pros in action helping out the local marine life. In addition to that unforgettable moment, we spent time watching the famous local elephant seals and took a step back in time with a stop at the breathtaking Hearst Castle, where we dive into the incredible history and architecture of this legendary estate.
