1963 Standard Vanguard Six

With us here at RFH Classics is this 1963 Standard Vanguard Six finished in a delightful 2 Tone Grey exterior with matching Grey Leather interior. These Vanguards are getting to be a rare sight now with the Phase Six was originally built between 1960-1963. This lovely example, that has only had 5 previous keepers, has come to us from long term previous ownership with the former owner having the car for nearly 8 years during which time it has always been dry stored. The car is a little bit special as we are led to believe from the former owner that was a car that was rescued by the Standard Motor Club who then had a hand in the restoration undertaken over a year by Dave Bagot one of the cars former owners. Over the past 8 years the car has had regular maintenance undertaken and recently had the twin carburettors rebuilt along with a new distributor. The bodywork is in excellent order with the two tone grey really helping to offset the lines of the car. Chrome work to the vehicle is also very good with lovely chrome wheel embellishers that finish the car off. Inside the car is lovely with the bench style seats that are fitted to the front and rear being trimmed in Grey Leather and showing some fantastic patina to them. The previous owner regularly drove the car to classic car shows during his ownership and it has been the subject of many prizes including a recent first at a show in early July. The whole car is in very good condition both inside and externally and drives exceptionally smoothly, it was only out on a good run at the beginning of July and drove impeccably with no faults.
