From the Villages, Protecting Indonesia: Satkamling Rises to Become the Vanguard of Public Order and Security in Musi Rawas The Musi Rawas Police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining neighborhood security by strengthening the role of Satkamling as the spearhead of voluntary security within the community. Held at the Atmani Wedhana Building of the Musi Rawas Police, 100 participants representing 100 villages participated in a virtual Satkamling training held simultaneously by the South Sumatra Regional Police. The theme was "Revitalizing Satkamling as the Vanguard of Early Detection and Rapid Response to Public Order and Security Based on Technology and Community Participation." The event, opened by South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Sandi Nugroho, served as a strategic opportunity to strengthen the capacity and preparedness of Satkamling personnel to face increasingly dynamic public order and security challenges. At the Musi Rawas Police, the event was led by Musi Rawas Police Chief Agung Adhitya Prananta, accompanied by the Head of the Community Development Unit, AKP Amirudin Iskandar, and other Satkamling personnel. The spirit of togetherness and dedication was evident as all participants received briefings, guidance, and training materials focused on improving early detection skills, neighborhood patrols, night patrols, and rapid reporting mechanisms to the police. Furthermore, as a tangible demonstration of support for strengthening the Community Security Unit (Satkamling), the Musi Rawas Police Chief also awarded "Nyago Musi Rawas Aman Bae" (Safe Musi Rawas) pins and provided contact information in the form of 100 raincoats and 100 pins to all training participants. This training was not simply a transfer of knowledge, but an effort to build collective awareness that security is a shared responsibility. Through synergy between the Satkamling, Bhabinkamtibmas (Community Police), village governments, and all elements of the community, it is hoped that a more responsive, adaptive, and community-based neighborhood security system will be created. This activity will further enhance the capabilities of Musi Rawas Regency Satkamling personnel in recognizing potential security disturbances, taking initial action in emergencies, and strengthening coordination with the police.
