Amazing Hand Unloading—Workers Pushed Heavy Wood Across a Narrow Plank
Hello, dear friends ❤️ Today was another unforgettable day on my cargo ship. The workers began unloading the mangrove wood by hand for the charcoal kilns. Watching them work reminded me once again how much skill, strength, and experience this job requires. The most amazing part was seeing them carefully push heavy carts loaded with wood across a narrow wooden plank. Every trip required perfect balance and complete concentration. One small mistake could cause the load to fall, yet they performed this difficult work with remarkable confidence and teamwork. During the day, I also called over a small floating grocery boat to buy fresh food, bread, and a few supplies for life aboard my ship. On these rivers, floating shops are an important part of everyday life. Because every piece of wood had to be unloaded entirely by hand, the work was slow and physically demanding. By the end of the afternoon, the workers had unloaded about 70 cubic meters of mangrove wood. At the end of the day, the charcoal kiln owner paid the workers for their hard work. They shared the wages among themselves and headed home with smiles after a long and exhausting day. Watching these hardworking people reminds me that behind every shipment are many hands, many hours of effort, and a great deal of dedication. Thank you, dear friends, for following my journey across the rivers of the Mekong Delta and for sharing these moments with me. Your kindness, encouragement, and friendship mean more than words can express. With heartfelt thanks from Vietnam, Diễm An ❤️
