North Korea has repeatedly launched ballistic missiles with unprecedented frequency since Kim Jong Un came to power. The number of launches since 2022 has exceeded 50, a record high for the year. This animation shows the status of North Korea's ballistic missile launches over the past 30 years, from 1993, when the missile launch was first confirmed, to November 2022. It also includes information on nuclear tests conducted to date. We compiled this animation based on analytical data from Japan Ministry of Defense and information retained by us. Short, medium, and long-range ballistic missiles are counted, but it does not include cruise missiles. Also it does not reflect the type or altitude of ballistic missiles. Experience the reality.
