Its last day in service saw it in use on the Liverpool Central - Ormskirk line before being moved over to Birkenhead North depot where it would be picked up for scrap by 37884 the following weekend. Before it came off I took a trip on it on the full route from Liverpool Central to Ormskirk and it was only fitting that given I wanted to record a full journey on one of the outgoing units on the line that 508122 would be the unit to do so, so here it is working the full line on the 12:46 service.
