He met jockey Yalçın Akağaç, with whom he would achieve great success, in the KV-18 Orhan Meker Race. Grand Ekinoks captured the attention with victories in the Orhan Meker, Cihangir, Male Foal Trial, Sait Akson, and Gazi Races, respectively.
