He has performed over 6000 liver transplants, including the world record for transplantation in a 5 days old child in 1997. He runs one of India’s busiest liver transplantation programs, doing over 300 liver transplants each year. He is a prolific researcher and academician, with over 830 publications, over 16,500 citations, an H Index of 69, and over 35 book chapters. He has received over 20 International Awards & Honors for his field contributions. He is a speaker, teacher, mentor, and guide for many surgeons and researchers worldwide. He is a visionary leader and a compassionate doctor, who provides the best care for his patients and advances liver transplantation science and art.
