The kidnapping of Ewelina Bałdyga remains one of the most enigmatic Polish criminal cases of the early 21st century. In May 2005, the 21-year-old student was abducted from a parking lot in Warsaw. Police linked the kidnapping to the so-called "finger cutters" gang. Despite the passage of years, a lengthy investigation, and numerous theories and rumors, the young woman's fate remains unsolved.
