The flowers he decorated at her suggestion wither and turn black in just one day... ★Comment from Ninomiya Yuji This was a heartwarming story. However, personally, I would have liked more elements that made me want to root for Shigeo. For example, perhaps he does small, thoughtful things for others, even though no one notices them. Kaori is the only one who notices them. If that's the case, it makes sense that they were attracted to each other. Also, to put it bluntly, I thought he'd be fine as an introvert, lol. I think this is a work that would be better if he'd just stayed a loner. ★Editorial Comment The characters are vividly drawn, highly relatable, and resonate directly with the reader. I admire the way the author has skillfully depicted the changes in his life and state of mind that come from arranging flowers, linking them to the growth of his interpersonal relationships. The opening of the story is also ingeniously intriguing, which I like.
