Meitei JNU professor questions government over continuing violence in Manipur

Associate Professor of the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam set the stage on fire with his fervid speech on the Manipur crisis. Akoijam was speaking at the One Voice Seminar held at Punjab University in Chandigarh on September 16, where he questioned the N Biren Singh government in Manipur and the central government for the violence continuing unabated for over months. He also raised questions on the security scenario since villagers, farmers and students had to take up arms to protect themselves despite the presence of armed forces in the state.
