Day 5 of our Hawaii trip. Our third bus journey takes us to the Manoa area, full of natural beauty. In the morning, we enjoyed delicious pancakes and coffee at Waioli Kitchen, a cafe housed in a renovated historic building. We also managed to buy some fluffy, large loaves of bread, available only on Fridays, making for a very satisfying morning. Next, we took a walk along a lush, green trekking trail to Manoa Falls. It was a more challenging course than we expected, and our feet got muddy, but it was a great workout and highly recommended. After our exercise, it was time for lunch, so we enjoyed a Japanese-style poke bowl at Off the Hook in downtown Manoa. This shop is located next to the famous "Green Starbucks," and the tempura batter scraps, flying fish roe, and green onion toppings went together really well and it was delicious! ^^ #GreenStarbucks #ManoaFalls #WaioliKitchen #manoa #OffZack #HiltonFireworks #hilton #hawaii #hanabi #OceanView #parkshorewaikiki #HotelWithOceanView I also recommend the chocolate drinks from "Chocolea," a handmade chocolate shop only available in Manoa, as a perfect break during your stroll. The building itself is very cute, so be sure to stop by when you visit Manoa. After returning from Manoa, I went shopping at Ala Moana Center. I was so happy to find a Hawaii-exclusive T-shirt at UNIQLO! To top it all off, I watched the fireworks from Hilton Lagoon... I was deeply moved by the powerful sound and light from up close. For dinner, we went back to Mahalo Burger at the Royal Hawaiian Center, the same place we went on our first day! ^^ The 100% Hawaiian beef patty and organic vegetables were incredibly fresh and reliably delicious.
