El Rocío, la película

The feature film, produced in 4K at 50 frames per second (twice the standard used in HD TV), runs for 90 minutes and allows viewers to explore the various routes of this pilgrimage that converge in the village of Almonte, Huelva, as well as the landmarks along the way and the traditions associated with this religious and popular event. It is one of Spain's most internationally recognized tourist attractions, drawing the largest number of pilgrims, especially during the weekend in the village of Almonte (Huelva), where around a million people gather on the eve of the Virgin's procession. The film was shot during the 2016 pilgrimage. That year's El Rocío was the rainiest in the last decade. The difficulties faced by the pilgrims due to the torrential rains and the passionate spirit they demonstrated in making the best of the bad weather give the documentary a blend of drama and joy, faithfully reflecting how they experience this important pilgrimage. http://www.canalsur.es/ @canalsur
