#trentino #sentieronellaroccia #sanromedio THE ROCK PATH TO SAN ROMEDIO The Rock Path to San Romedio is a highly evocative trail accessible to everyone. The trail begins immediately after the village of Sanzeno in Val di Non, opposite the Rhaetian Museum, where the parking lot is also located. The Rock Path winds, without any significant changes in elevation, through an initial stretch through the woods and then continues along the side of the canyon in the water channel dug into the sheer cliff face in the 19th century. On one side, the rock faces above your head, and on the other, protected by a sturdy fence, the vertical wall of the canyon. A word of warning: don't get too distracted by the wild landscape; in some places, the rock overlooking the trail is low and you could hit your head! After about 45 to 50 minutes of easy walking, we arrive at the Sanctuary of San Romedio, perched atop a cliff. To the left of the Sanctuary entrance is a large enclosure where Bruno the bear lives, a bear from Abruzzo who found a new home in San Romedio after a sad history of abuse.
