Local road along a river on the outskirts of Hanoi (Go through the Đông Ngạc and Phú Diễn areas)

The suburban areas northwest of Hanoi were once characterized by old-fashioned streetscapes and had seen very little development. However, in recent years, construction of access roads connecting the suburbs to the city center has been progressing rapidly. Against this backdrop, I recently drove along the road connecting Dong Gac and Phu Dien. This road is a local arterial road branching off from a main highway, but because it is narrow and features a series of S-curves, traffic jams are a constant occurrence. Although the road runs in a straight line, it goes by three different names depending on the section: Pho Vien, Phan Ba Van, and Hoang Cong Chat. However, due to factors such as recent urban development, these landscapes may gradually disappear.
