Camping Resort Orsera - Vrsar (Juni 2023)

ORSERA CAMPING RESORT From June 23rd to July 1st, we stayed at the "Orsera Camping Resort" campsite near Vrsar. The site is located directly on the sea, and the picturesque town is about a 20-minute walk away. The partially terraced grounds offer five different types of pitches, including one very close to the sea with views of the offshore islands. All have electricity, and most also have direct water connections. The greywater disposal point is located in the upper part of the campsite. The complex includes a small grocery kiosk, a fruit and vegetable stand, and a shop with swimming accessories. There is also a restaurant, a beach bar, and a children's playground. Ladders lead down to the sea from the sunbathing areas. A saltwater pool is set into the paved terraces, and there is also a small, fairly simple pool. Various water sports are offered, and there's an aqua park with inflatable play equipment in the sea. Your beloved four-legged friends are welcome to swim in the water at a separate pebble beach area, where there's even a dog shower. VRSAR Vrsar (Italian: Orsera) is a small, sleepy town located between the coastal towns of Poreč and Rovinj. The historic old town, with its winding alleys, colorful houses, and charming cafés, is situated on a hill overlooking the sea. At the top of the hill is the parish church of St. Martin. This church was built at the beginning of the 19th century on the old foundations of the city walls. The town is considered Croatia's "city of sculptures." A stroll through the town reveals many limestone sculptures. One of Vrsar's most prominent fans was the Italian adventurer, writer, and seducer Giacomo Casanova. He "stumbled" here in the mid-18th century and fell in love with this romantic little town.
